JOURNEY INTO THE UNKNOWN

INSPIRED BY RYAN MCGINLEY’S CAVE PHOTOGRAPHS, THE FELDER SISTERS LOOKED AT STONE LANDSCAPES FOR
THEIR PRINTS AND EMBELLISHMENT.
THE AMERICAN PHOTOGRAPHER’S IMAGES PICTURE HIS FRIENDS ON A THREE-
MONTH LONG JOURNEY, CAPTURING THEM INSIDE CAVES THAT PARTLY HAVE NEVER BEEN ENTERED BEFORE.
THE TINY HUMANS SEEM TO MERGE WITH THEIR SURROUNDINGS, MAKING THEM ONE WITH NATURE- A CONCEPT
THAT FELDER FELDER ARE FASCINATED BY.
THEIR COLLECTION ENVISION A CONNECTEDNESS TO NATURE IN AN
URBAN ENVIRONMENT-JUST LIKE MCGINLEY TAKES HIS FRIENDS OUT OF THE CITY ONTO A JOURNEY INTO THE
UNKNOWN, RECONNECTING TO NATURE AND TO THEMSELVES.
CHUNKY KNITS ARE MIXED WITH METAL BEADED SILK,
CREATING A SENSUAL YET “PROTECTED” FEEL TO THEM.
WORKING WITH RECYCLED AND REPURPOSED MATERIALS-
A NOD TO THEIR ENVIRONMENTAL INTERESTS-THEY HOPE TO INSPIRE A CONVERSATION OF CHANGE.
